It is important to understand that any brain damage that affects areas involved in planning and controlling movement will cause a person to move differently from other people. It is very difficult for him to learn new movements, to adapt to the constantly changing conditions of the external environment, it is difficult for them to control his posture. Rehabilitation therapists help restore the harmonious work of muscles and learn those things that are not available to people due to their illness - to maintain posture, walk, talk, etc.

Any specialist who is faced with the need to rehabilitate a child with cerebral palsy and other neurological disorders knows that there are no and never will be two identical patients. There is no single prescription and set of exercises that will be perfect for everyone.

The golden rule of our Rehabilitation Center for Children with Cerebral Palsy is a strictly individual approach to each child. We work according to a simple and proven scheme:

  • First meeting with the baby and his parents
  • Selection of the necessary methods for assessing the patient's condition
  • Defining a list of problems and tasks
  • Setting goals for interventions - what and why we will do in the classroom
  • Evaluation of the effectiveness of work according to individual criteria

We believe that the key condition for the success of rehabilitation is the continuity of the process, in which not only specialists, but also parents should take an active part. The Center's specialists teach parents of children with cerebral palsy all the practiced techniques that need to be performed daily at home and thereby consolidate the results achieved. We pay special attention to training according to the Voight method (video lessons), and we also offer to rent the Galileo vibration platform (it significantly reduces spasticity, increases muscle strength and volume).

Modern rehabilitation

The rehabilitation program is based on the analysis of the problems and needs of the little patient. The foundation of the program is physical training aimed at restoring the movements and activity of children with cerebral palsy.

Curiosity is the main driving force behind a child's development. Therefore, we try to conduct classes in a playful way, and the number of mechanical repetitions, the meaning of which is not clear to the child, is minimized. We believe, and practice confirms this, that a positive attitude contributes to a deeper assimilation of new movements.

The basis of the cerebral palsy rehabilitation program is the Voight method, which activates and improves the motor functions of a reflex nature - crawling, rolling over. In addition, we actively use the techniques of Castillo Morales, PNF, manual therapy, Balance, RDA.

If a disabled person with cerebral palsy is faced with problems of lack of strength and physical endurance, lack of balance and coordination of movements, then we conduct part of the classes on the Galileo vibration platform. These exercises save time and greatly facilitate the laboriousness of the rehabilitation process. Plus, they are fun, as most kids really like vibration.

Stretching is also carried out on the Galileo platform. The effect of such exercises comes faster and lasts longer:

  • Reduces muscle spasticity;
  • Strength and efficiency increase;
  • Improves balance and coordination;
  • Volume and muscle mass are increasing;
  • Speed and quality of walking increases;
  • Musculoskeletal system is strengthened.
