We are an orthopedic rehabilitation center for the treatment of scoliosis and other spinal deformities after the conservative scoliosis intensive rehabilitation (SIR®) according to Katharina Schroth under inpatient conditions.
Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) is one of the most common spinal deformities in children aged 10 to 16 years. Girls are usually affected about six times more often than boys. Since scoliosis usually becomes clinically noticeable during a growth spurt, scoliosis is usually diagnosed at the beginning of puberty. Before that, the children have hardly any or no symptoms at all, which is why scoliosis often goes undetected in the early stages of development.
