Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is the medical specialty responsible for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and organization of rehabilitation of disabling pathologies and comorbidities of bones, muscles, tendons, joints and nerves in adults and children.
Some of the areas of specialization in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation include neurological rehabilitation, pediatric rehabilitation, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, cardiorespiratory rehabilitation, cancer rehabilitation, pelvic floor rehabilitation, amputees rehabilitation and sports rehabilitation.
