The "Republican Rehabilitation Center for Disabled Children" was opened in 2000. The center is designed according to the analogues of European rehabilitation institutions. The Center provides rehabilitation of disabled children according to individual programs from 3 to 18 years old with diseases of the nervous and musculoskeletal systems, the consequence of which is a violation of the functions of the musculoskeletal system.

The uniqueness of the Center lies in providing complex rehabilitationaimed at the most complete restoration, preservation of physical health, personality and social status. The Center has the opportunity to carry out medical, pedagogical, psychological, social rehabilitation aimed at the adaptation of a disabled child.

The Center created barrier-free travel environment for disabled children with disorders of the musculoskeletal system, including in wheelchairs (spacious halls, ramps, additional handrails, etc.)

The center implements two forms of treatment for children:

- stationary;

- day hospital.

The structure of the institution has three departments:

- department of medical rehabilitation;

- department of social and psychological-pedagogical rehabilitation;

- direction of vocational guidance, skills of the profession.

Rehabilitation is carried out by the team of specialists: traumatologist, orthopedist, teacher-defectologist, neurologist, teacher-psychologist, exercise therapy doctor, educator, reflexologist, social educator, massage nurse, occupational therapy instructor.

To achieve the effectiveness of rehabilitation, the specialists of the Center as part of a multidisciplinary team assess the child's capabilities, determine the rehabilitation potential, draw up an individual rehabilitation program, including methods of medical physical influence, psychological and speech therapy correction, social and pedagogical work.

The project “It's so easy to be around” was implemented to provide remote services families with disabled children using Internet resources.
